I am super excited to bring you my album, Arizona! This album has been in the works since I began distributing my music.

As a nearly lifelong resident of Arizona, I can say without a doubt, the beauty found within the state is unique and unmatched to anywhere in the world. Home to the largest ponderosa pine forest in the world, the worlds oldest rodeo, and where saguaro cacti grow in it's native habitat within the Sonoran Desert. A good amount of my inspiration for music comes from my surroundings, and this is a perfect place for inspiration! I wanted the tonality of this album to represent Arizona as I have experienced it, so I spent over a year making sure every song was exactly what I wanted to express. Some songs are named after towns within the state, such as Sonoita and Lakeside. Others have place names, such as "Whiskey Row" which is located in Prescott, AZ, and is the location of all the old saloons that date back to the 1800's.

Within the mix of the songs are some unique instruments. I have in my studio a 5 foot long cactus rain stick, a Hopi gourd rattle and Navajo flute among my other instruments. Incorporating them into the music is what really helped stay on point with the vibe of the album. Nothing better than real native Arizona instruments to bring the songs to life! For me, every song, note and sound holds specific meaning and intention. The music on this album is my spirit. Granted all the music I produce is an expression of me, but this particular album is my heart on a plate.

When listening, you will notice there is a little bit of similarity between the songs "Arizona" and "Whiskey Row". Going back to what I said about intention... this album is meant to be an experience. Arizona is the first song, Whiskey Row is the last. It's meant to bring you full circle when listening. Since Prescott is pretty much the town I was raised in... both the town, Whiskey Row and of course Arizona are very dear to me. It was only fitting to have the songs compliment each other on both ends of the track list.

Once again I worked with my dear friend KC Lyon on vocals which are featured on the title track. KC excels at harmonizing, and the song marks the first time KC and I have harmonized together.

The album art is a photo I took in 2020 at the old Twin Arrows trading post between Flagstaff and Winslow, Arizona. The trading post is abandoned and deteriorating significantly, and has now become an epicenter for aspiring graffiti artists to showcase their work. Sadly, one of the arrow points has gone missing, so I am very grateful I took the picture while it was still intact.

I hope the music on this album finds you when you need it, and if you ever find yourself in Arizona, turn up the tunes and enjoy your experience in some of the most beautiful landscape on the planet!
